Businesses are constantly looking for ways to improve their efficiency in getting new leads. Not only that, but they are always trying to make things as automated as possible, so that they can go and drink a couple of beers on the beach (relax, it was just a joke. or was it?
In the very beginning of marketing automations, people mostly used emails. After that, webinars appeared and changed how people think about business.
Suddenly, everybody was doing video webinars of around 1h, after which they pitch you a $997 revolutionary program. Sounds familiar?
Without a doubt, the recent trend is automation through Facebook chatbots. In my opinion, one of the most revolutionizing marketing inventions in recent years.
Why? Because this type of engagement gives you an advantage over the competition, mainly because of the more personal level of connection with your audience.
We can all agree that Facebook is more personal than a Google ad, right? Well, today, in this Opesta review, we’re gonna take a look at whether or not you should give Facebook chatbots a try, or just stick with email marketing.
If you want to know the benefits that chatbots offer compared to an email autoresponder, you’re in the right place!

WHAT IS OPESTA?
As I said before, Opesta is a Facebook chatbot software that helps businesses better connect with their audience. In my opinion, you should use it together with an email marketing software in order to maximize your engagement.
And we all know that more engagement means more conversions, therefore more money.
Other Facebook chatbots softwares are ManyChat and Chatfuel. They basically do the same thing.
What thing you ask? Allow you to engage with your audience on a more personal level.(1)
Let’s be honest here. A Facebook chatbot software’s main function is to give you an edge over your competitors by building your subscriber list.
Don’t forget that Facebook chatbots have an open-rate of over 80%, compared to the 10%-20% of email marketing.
So you should keep that in mind. You don’t need to be a mathematician in order to understand Facebook chatbot’s power.
WHO IS OPESTA FOR?
It’s basically for whoever wants to build an online business. Also, it’s for who wants to communicate with their audience in a more efficient way, therefore increasing their subscriber base and conversions.
In my opinion, if you have an email list, Facebook chatbots are a very good addition to it. Opesta allows you to communicate with your prospects in a more personal fashion at a relatively cheap cost.(2)
Oh, i forgot to tell you. Opesta has a couple of very cool features that it’s competitors don’t have. Keep reading if you want to find out what I’m talking about :).
OPESTA FEATURES
- Tracking
Most other Facebook chatbots softwares track your open rates and clicks. And don’t get me wrong, that’s a good thing.
Opesta takes it one step forward and provides its customers with pixel-based tracking. This is a great way to track your conversions, therefore you will be able to better optimize your campaigns.
It’s actually very easy to use. When you create a new sequence, just chose the “Pixel” option and you’re good to go.
Next, you need to specify which pages you want to optimize for conversions.(3)
After that, you tell Opesta which actions to take when someone makes a conversion. For example, you can add a subscriber to a sequence or apply tags.
- All plans include all the features
Most marketing softwares, including the chatbots ones, have a tendency to limit the features of the basic plan. This can be very frustrating for small entrepreneurs who are not ready to invest a lot of money in order to get the most out of a software.
It’s a good thing that Opesta offers all the features even to the customers that decide to go with the basic plan. They just limit the usage.
The only difference between the plans are the numbers of subscribers and Facebook pages that you are allowed to have.
- Personalization
When it comes to personalization, Opesta has a much bigger variety than ManyChat or Chatfuel. You can save unique data tailored towards each subscriber.
You can even ask them what their favorite color is 🙂
You can use this information in your future sequences by adding it to the custom field set. Why?
Well to maximize your conversions of course 😉
INSIDE OPESTA
I’m not a swimmer, but let’s dive deep into the software. Right after you start your free trial, you will be presented with your dashboard.
The first thing you will need to do is create a campaign. As you can imagine, that’s pretty easy to do.
After that, you will need to set up a sequence inside the campaign.(4)
You will be able to create multiple sequences inside the same campaign, each of them being geared towards your subscribers at different stages.
SEQUENCES
There are 3 aspects of each sequence. let’s go over them real quick
- Triggers
Triggers are basically actions that need to happen in order for the sequence to start. Some examples of triggers are replying to a message, clicking a button, etc.(5)
- Sequence Content
Whenever you add new content (messages), it will appear in the form of a list on your dashboard. Also, you can chose triggers for specific messages that will deliver your content automatically.
Opesta also provides you with a very nice preview feature, that allows you to see how the messages will look like to your audience.
- Sequence Goals
These are the objectives that you se for each individual sequence. There are 3 options: keyword-based, pixel-based or tag-based.
- Broadcasts
Sequences are great as they are. But sometimes you want to send a message to your entire subscriber list at the same time. This is when you will use “broadcasts”
You probably know these feature, as all email marketing software providers have it.
But what if you want your subscribers to receive the broadcast message at a certain time? Well, there is a very cool feature that lets you schedule it.
- Manage your subscribers
As you can imagine, there is a way to see your subscribers list. Kind of like the email marketing softwares have.
You can access your list by clicking the “Subscribers” button on the left-hand side.
You can then filter your subscribers based on gender and other options.
TRACKING
You can obviously track your stats in order to know if your sequences are working, or if you need to change something.
I found this reporting and tracking dashboard very good. Also, keep in mind that Facebook now has an analytics platform that also covers data regarding chatbots.(6)
This is a great addition to Opesta’s Dashboard.
OPESTA PRICING
There are 3 different plans: Basic ($49/month), Essential ($99/month) and High Volume ($149/month)
As I said before, the only difference between the plans is how many Facebook pages and subscribers you are allowed to have. In my opinion, the best way would be to start with the basic plan and upgrade depending on your volume.(7)
CONCLUSION
Overall, I really like Opesta. It’s a great complement to my email marketing software and I can say that the conversions are pretty good.
I’ve used ManyChat before but I honestly like Opesta more because it seems more beginner-friendly.
If you haven’t thought of giving Facebook chatbots a try, I would recommend you do.
You can try Opesta risk-free for 14 days, and if you like it, I would recommend you start with the basic plan. You will surely enjoy it.
